Rosenberg & Rodriguez Announces Annual $2,000 Scholarship for NYC and Long Island Students

“Real Stories: The Ripple Effect of Negligence” Scholarship Encourages Awareness, Accountability, and Community Impact

NEW YORK, NY, March 19, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Rosenberg & Rodriguez, PLLC, a personal injury law firm serving New York City and Long Island, is pleased to announce its annual “Real Stories: The Ripple Effect of Negligence” Scholarship, created to promote awareness, responsibility, and community safety among local students.

The program awards one $2,000 grand award and two $500 runner-up scholarships to high school seniors who will attend a college or university in New York State.

Applicants must submit a 400–600-word reflective essay after interviewing someone (or share their personal story) impacted by a preventable injury. Essays are evaluated based on depth, originality, organization, and insight into safety and accountability.

“Our work revolves around helping people rebuild their lives after an injury,” said Managing Partner Laura Rosenberg. “We want students to understand the real consequences of negligence and to think critically about how to make our communities safer.”

Founded by Laura Rosenberg and Ivan J. Rodriguez, the scholarship reflects the firm’s commitment to giving back and supporting students who demonstrate both academic achievement and a genuine desire to help others.

To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional program in the United States, including high school seniors and community college students. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required. In addition to the essay, applicants must submit a resume and an unofficial transcript.
